Non-responsiveness after changing Mailboxes options on a smart mailbox

Mailmate went off into non-responsiveness. I've attached the crash report.
I was changing one of my smart boxes which had a lot of "match
any of" "From" conditions.
I duplicated the box twice and made one of them cover A-L and the
other M-Z.
I set up the original to draw from these new mailboxes.
After adding the second one (actually the A-L one), it just went
off into the weeds.
The main thing I was responding to, by splitting this up, was
how slow it is to edit
these lists once you have more than fifty or so conditions.

Things are now, if anything, worse. Mailmate is just not even working now. during startup I get the menubar, but no windows ever show up. What can I do to remedy this?
