MailMate crashes when deleting source
Reported by Norman Gray | March 20th, 2019 @ 09:11 AM
MailMate crashes when I try to delete a source by right-clicking on the source in the 'Sources' menu and selecting on 'Remove Source'.
You will I think have received a crash report at about 2019-03-20T08:50+0000 or so.
The associated source is offline. I note in ticket https://freron.lighthouseapp.com/projects/58672/tickets/274-unable-to-delete-imap-source that MailMate may potentially have an issue with a source that might be unsynchronised (but that was 2012). However I can't take this source online, since it is a configuration that no longer works: the associated Exchange/IMAP server has been replaced (by Office365, as it happens), and this Source (in MailMate terms) represents my pre-migration configuration, which I have retained until I verified that my replacement post-migration configuration does work.
Thanks for your attention!

Please try and see if it works in the latest test release: Hold down option when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane.

I am experiencing this same issue on version 1.12.4.5594. My offline source cannot be deleted and causes MailMate to crash. I sent the report.

@Eric: Please try updating as described in my first reply to this ticket and let me know if the problem persists. Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane.

The update to 1.12.4.5620 fixed the issue for me. I did check for updates prior to, but it returned that I was using the newest. Does the option key check updates to the beta builds?
Thanks,

I updated to Version 1.12.4 (5620) as suggested, and I was able to delete the Source without problems.
So: fixed! Great work.

- State changed from new to fixcommitted
@Eric: Holding down ⌥ makes MailMate fetch a “Test” release. This is different than Beta which I actually rarely use. This is because I often prefer that an update was explicitly fetched in case I've introduced a new bug (fewer people affected by it).
