Signature added when first recipient loaded

I'm seeing duplicated application of the default signature. It is present when I open a new email, and then a new copy is applied in the body (that is, between the original salutation and the original close) when I add the first recipient. Adding to the CC (first) doesn't cause this.

This would happen if MailMate, for some reason, does not recognize/find the already inserted signature. Could you use “Help ▸ Send Feedback” in MailMate to send me the signatures file located here:
~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Signatures.plistYou can find the Library folder using the Go menu in the Finder (you might need to hold down ⌥ to see the menu item).

The problem is when any lines in a plain text signature are prefixed with
>without being followed by a space character.
