markdown link titles seem broken
Reported by Ben Miller | December 6th, 2018 @ 07:23 AM
Markdown allows for a link title, but using a link title in
mailmate in a reference link breaks the link - it actually
disappears!
(there seems also to be an issue with a title in inline links) Note
that as this is an issue with markdown you'll need to view the
source text for this to make sense (here the links work fine)
EG - This works:
email text…
[filemaker 17 update][1]
best wishes,
This does not work - the link part is not shown if I add a title:
email text…
[filemaker 17 update][1]
best wishes,

- State changed from new to resolved
I think it's just failing because you used curly double quotes. You might want to disable “Edit ▸ Substitutions ▸ Smart Quotes”.
Let me know if that doesn't help.
(In any case, the Markdown converter is planned to be replaced for other reasons.)

Yes, I think you are correct, I did not have Substitutions > Smart Quotes enabled in MailMate I had to go to System Settings > Keyboard and disable smart quotes there. Now everything is working fine.
Thank you.
