New mailbox not synchronizing

I often create new (sub-)mailboxes, as kind of subfolders. However, it often takes time before they synchronize, and often, they show with name 'Untitled'. In the mailbox window, they're colored white (and italic). Not sure what I'm doing wrong...

What exactly happens might depend on the IMAP server. MailMate does create an “Untitled” mailbox and it's then renamed afterwards.

I think the white color issue might be fixed in the latest test release: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane.
