Error: Failed SSL certificate verification with Mojave
Reported by phill (at inversebit) | September 28th, 2018 @ 06:40 PM
I've just installed Mojave and my IMAP accounts have stopped working (marked unavailable) and in the Activity Viewer I get the error "Error: Failed SSL certificate verification".
My IMAP server is on my local network and has a self-signed SSL cert; previously MailMate would notify me that the certificate was invalid and allow me to connect regardless, now it just silently fails.

Is there any way around this until I get around to installing a valid cert?

Sorry for missing the critical nature of this ticket.
I'm not sure what changed with respect to why you can no longer do this. I have an SMTP server with an expired certificate. I tried deleting this certificate from the keychain and I was then requested to trust it by MailMate when trying to send. Seems to work like it did in the past.
Do you still have this problem?

I never got it working and ended up using LetsEncrypt and port forwarding to generate and renew a valid cert on my local server.
