German Localisation?
Reported by matthias | September 27th, 2018 @ 10:31 AM
Hello,
I try to move my parents to MailMate, but their English is not the
best and it won't improve as they are both over 80.
Is there any plan to localize MailMate to German - if so I could
help ;-)
Thanks
Matthias

Just to add, I got some experience, I did the German PowerMail localisation and my parents bought a license today :-)
cheers

Again, sorry about the late response! Thanks for the extended support!
I keep a list of people offering to help with localization. I'll add you to this list. MailMate is unfortunately not prepared for localization at all, but I'll contact you when/if this changes.

It would be a first step to enable a working localisation of MmReplyWroteString.
I tried to localise that string from
-string 'On %e %b %Y, at %k:%M, ${from.name:${from.address}} wrote:' to
-string 'Am %A, den %e. %B %Y, um %k:%M Uhr, schrieb ${from.name:${from.address}}:'The result gives me:
Am Monday, den 3. May 2021, um 15:12 Uhr schrieb Max Mustermann:So %A (= The full weekday name according to the current locale.) and %B (= The full month name according to the current locale.) still is in english. I assume that is because MailMates curent locale is english and cannot be changed.

Couldn't find the option to change the forward-message-string: "Forwarded message:"
Where can I change that string to another language?
