'cc' field visible by default
Reported by Erik M-H | January 5th, 2012 @ 08:27 PM
I recently asked my wife why I no longer received many cc'd messages from her, keeping me apprised of her schedule.
She told me that because in MailMate the “cc” field was missing by default, she was never reminded by the interface to use it.
Now that’s not the way my brain works, but it is of course a valid point. I’ve looked for a preference or a hidden preference to make the field visible by default, but to no avail.
Could we have one, please?

After adding the
Cc
header using the popup in the Composer window, you can open the same popup menu and select “Use as Default Headers”. I believe this is what you are looking for. -

Perfect!
Very sorry to bother you about something so obvious. Thanks for your help!

Hi. New user. Loving MailMate so far, but for the life of me, I can't figure out this issue. You say "After adding the Cc header using the popup in the Composer window..." In my new message window, there is no popup. I've ctrl-clicked and right-clicked and there is no popup. I've enabled markdown in preferences>composer, but, still, nothing. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? How can I add a Cc? Thanks.

@Gallen: To the far left of the status bar in the Composer there is an icon with horizontal lines. Click on that to open the popup (or hit ⌃⌘H).
