New Message: Default account is... <IMAP ACCOUNT IN USE>

#2077

Hi,

I have a business, personal, and iCloud IMAP accounts. For me, many of my business clients cross over to my iCloud and personal IMAP accounts. I would like to be able to set my Default account to the IMAP account I am in in my folder list. If I am in my business INBOX, I want my new message to always come from that account. Too many times I've been working in my business account and started a new message and just because my last email was to them was a personal email, it defaults to my personal account and I don't notice and send business email not from my business account. Likewise, I don't want to set it to be always my business or my personal.

Summary: I'd like to have it default to whatever IMAP account (whatever folder under it) I am in.

Thanks,

-Scott

In most cases, MailMate determines it based on who you write (looking for similar emails), but when that's not possible the currently selected mailbox/message might be taking into account (if you have “derived from context” selected in the Composer preferences pane selected). I'm aware though that this is not functioning as well as intended and should probably be more configurable. I'll update this ticket if this is improved.

Thanks tons for accepting this! Hidden preference just to use the email address of the inbox your are using with no other consideration would work great for me and reduce emails from me from the wrong email address.
