Reported by Jens | August 3rd, 2018 @ 12:09 PM

Hi,
i don't know if it's only a problem on my system:
- Mac - Mailmate Version 1.11.3 (5509) When the From name is like:

name@test.de <test@test.de>

i is shown as

name<skullemoji>test.de

in the from.

    • State changed from “new” to “closed”

This is actually a “feature”, but I'll probably have to find some other way to handle it, because it's often misunderstood. The idea is to make the user aware that the name of the sender is an email address which does not match the actual email address (the one used if replying). It could be a primitive phishing attempt.

Oh doesn't know that. I think it would be better to have another icon ;) and eventually a column for such "warnings" to show. cool feature would be to let me make my own rules to show icons in that column too.

Unrelated to spoofing, but you can use tags with emojis (see the manual) to have a column with your own symbols. You can use rules to automatically tag incoming messages.

Sorry Benny for no seeing that in the documentation before you mean tags.

    Thanks
