Crash at 1st launch after install on Mojave beta
Reported by Romain Bossart | July 21st, 2018 @ 01:38 PM
Hi,
Thanks for this fantastic app, I love it.
After installing MailMate for the first time on a fresh Mojave beta 4, I consistently have the following crash:
3 com.apple.TCC 0x00007fff5a8297ca
__CRASHING_DUE_TO_PRIVACY_VIOLATION__ + 173
(full crash report attached)
Please note that before installing on a fresh beta, I had MailMate perfectly running on my High Sierra, and also after having upgraded it to Mojave beta 4.
Maybe it is related to some new
NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription
vs
NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription
in your
info.plist
?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Cheers,
Romain

Hi Benny,
Could you replicate this behavior? Do you want me to run some tests?
Thanks in advance,
Romain -

Hi Benny and Romain,
Same here. It seems to be related to the dialog on when to send crashes log (once, always...).
I managed to launch Mailmate through command line, open Terminal.app and use/Applications/MailMate.app/Contents/MacOS/MailMate
to launch mailmate.

@Benny, the same happens with the latest beta (Mojave Beta 6), don't hesitate to reach out if you need some testing/report.Cheers

I think I've fixed this issue now. Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane to get a test release.

Hi benny,
I've done the test, through ⌥ / check-now, and it's fully ok for me. Many thanks !
