Missing contats names

Mailmate seems to have lost contacts names in INBOX (sources) nad Inbox (mailboxes), but in others folders is all ok (auto completion works properly, too). I have BusyContats.

    I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. The composer preferences panes has settings for how MailMate locates email addresses for address completion in the Composer. Could you be more specific with regard to what is not working? What you are trying to do and what you expect to happen?

    In folder INBOX (sources) and in folder Inbox (mailboxes) i don't see my contact's names, which are visible in the adress book (or/and in BusyContacts), e.g.: in the list in INBOX (Inbox) i see: Jan jan@jan.com but in adress book (or/and in BusyContacts) I've got
    "Jan Kowalski jan@jan.com". In the others folders this problem doesn't occur (when i create e-mail auto completion works properly too).

    Ah, when viewing incoming emails MailMate uses the name included in the email. MailMate could be smarter and look for any name for the same email address in your Contacts, but it's my opinion that this would be a bad thing. A couple of reasons:

    • The sender of the email should be in control of the name used. The sender might have a good reason to use a specific name or change a name (without changing the email address). For example, in some cases multiple different names might be in use for the same email address.
    • It's a security issue. Fraudulent emails could look more legitimate than they really are if a missing or a wrong name is “fixed” by MailMate by inserting/replacing it with a name found in your Contacts.

    I usually try to provide options in cases where users have different needs, but I would prefer not to do that in this case. Is this ok with you?
