How to open and select first message, and how to open nested threads?

Reported by MoJen Jenkins | May 14th, 2018 @ 11:26 PM

I have the Organize By Thread option turned on. If I press CTRL-CMD-L it opens the thread and selects the last message in the thread. Is there a way to open the thread and select the first message instead?

Also, if I press CTRL-CMD-L it only opens the top level of the thread. If there are nested threads they do not open. Is there a way to open all of the threads at once?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I think you are looking for the fact that you can hold down ⌥ when clicking the triangle or hitting the right-key (this is a general macOS feature).

[slaps forehead] Totally overthought that one.

    Thank you.
