Metal-based rendering
Reported by Stefan Doehla | April 23rd, 2018 @ 05:44 AM
Hi Benny,
just something for the long-term backlog, that might be interesting. Today I updated iTerm2 to a new version and activated the Metal-based rendering - and wow - it became much faster to use the terminal :)
Since MailMate is also all about rendering something (mails, message lists, ...) it might also speed up MailMate quite a bit - but on the other hand I don't know your architecture, so it might be already there or impossible to add - or somewhere in between ;)
Thus, no strong request, but maybe something long-term to consider ...
Btw - here the link to iTerm's wiki: https://gitlab.com/gnachman/iterm2/wikis/Metal-Renderer

Most visual parts of MailMate use standard GUI classes. It's very unlikely that I'll be looking into implementing my own message list or HTML view. Sorry.
