Changing From Address
Reported by Steve H | November 18th, 2011 @ 03:42 PM
Having previously asked about the default 'from' address on the mailing list, I now keep an eye on this before sending messages just to check which address has been selected.
When I did this today I noted that the correct address was set, sent the message and then found that it had been sent via my iCloud email address rather than the chosen Fastmail IMAP address.

- State changed from new to cantreproduce
So just before sending, the From-field showed a different address than
what was used in the sent message. I have been unable to reproduce this
behaviour.Did you set the From address manually or was it derived based on a
change of the recipient address? (I assume it was a new message and not
a reply.)You can make MailMate log information about the derivation of identity
(based on main recipient) by using the following in the Terminal:defaults com.freron.MailMate MmDebugDerivedIdentity -bool YES
After that you should be able to see when/why MailMate derives a new
identity and maybe see if the GUI is not updated under some specific
circumstances.I'll keep an eye out for any problems, but if you have additional steps
to reproduce then it would be appreciated.[state:cantreproduce]
