Periodically stops recieving mail?

I am not sure what causes this or how to troubleshoot, but I've noticed that MailMate will occasionally stop receiving mail. I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing to cause it unblock. Quitting and reloading seems to work for sure, but
Is there anything specific I should try to do next time I notice the problem?

Ok, new data. I had it happen the other day again.
So without touching MailMate, I opened the regular Mac Mail. After I made a change from there (marked a message as read, moved a message to another folder, whatever), MailMate suddenly refreshed.
So it seems like some kind of issue involving IMAP IDLE, maybe?
