Feature request: show relative date in Send Later field
Reported by James Eagan | May 29th, 2017 @ 09:26 AM
When entering a deferred date in the send later field, the UI does not currently show the interpreted date for sending. This feature request is to indicate what date MailMate (via Apple's APIs) has interpreted for future sending.
The current interface shows only a boolean interpreted (black) or not-interpreted (red) state. If, however, I enter 12h45 as a send later date, the current scheme is ambiguous: the black text indicates that the system has interpreted a valid date, but it is not directly visible whether the system has interpreted the time 12:45 (expressed as 12h45 in my current locale) or the offset, in 12 hours and 45 minutes.
One possible implementation might be to append in gray text the interpreted relative time (possible in parentheses) when the send later field is unfocussed. (This information is currently available in the Pending Submission column in the Drafts mailbox, but it is not visible in the message composition view.)
Thanks!
James
