Sending Twice

Because I retired I changed the default send From in Preferences from a business to a private e-mail address.

MM now sends all e-mail twice: from the old AND the new address. Only the old arrives at the recipient.

Changed from jos@dagaz-coaching.nl to josvandervoort@gmail.com

Sent messages in MM shows two mails sent tro both the above addresses.

The recipient receives the e-mail sent to jos@dagaz-coaching.nl.

This is not the desired behavior: The mail should be sent from josvandervoort@gmail.com and received by the recipient from josvandervoort@gmail.com.

    Gmail has a “feature” for which they save sent messages in “[Gmail]/Sent” as soon as they have been sent by the SMTP server. Make sure that you use the same username for IMAP and SMTP for the account since otherwise this could result in duplicates. MailMate also saves a copy in “Sent Messages”, but Gmail automatically deletes duplicates (since they don't allow duplicates in their non-standard IMAP implementation).

    I'm sure that didn't make a lot of sense, but the point is that only 1 message is sent, but somehow two copies are saved. If you cannot solve the problem then I might be able to help if you send me your .plist files via “Help ▸ Send Feedback”:

    ~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/*.plist

    I have the same problem (with my exchange account AND hover account). I didn't have this problem in the past. the IMAP and SMTP settings have the same email id...
