Searching within threads

I am a new mailmate user (Day 4 of the trial) so I may be missing something easy. However, when I search for a certain message from a person I know I received a message from it does not show in the search results. If I search by subject i see my own sent items and that person's associated replies in the thread, but that person's reply does not show individually. It does show individually in other 3rd party email apps and in the gmail's browser. I confirmed that the message was not muted, but am out of other ideas for finding this message.

    This is likely related to the handling of “[Gmail]/All Mail” which MailMate unsubscribes by default. This is done because it's actually quite hard for an email client to handle it well. Naively, it would result in a lot of duplicate messages because Gmail misuses the protocol (IMAP). My workarounds for this seem to be quite robust now though and I suggest you go to “Edit Subscriptions” in the IMAP account editor in order to subscribe the mailbox. Note that this could take some time if the mailbox is very big.
