support printing maibox message lists

Reported by Robert Brenstein | March 3rd, 2017 @ 02:49 PM

It seems that it is not possible to print lists of messages for any mailbox. The Print item on the File menu becomes active when one or more messages are selected. MM prints then the content of selected messages, one message per page.

This is great. However, I would like to be able to print the list view of any mailbox as it is shown, that is possibly with filters applied, as well. Having to take a screen shot and print that image is not optimal.

Suggested implementation: print the content of a mailbox as a list if no message is selected (new functionality) and print the contents of messages if one or more messages are selected (current functionality).

    • State changed from “new” to “bluesky”

I think this is the first request I've had for this functionality. I'm assuming you would want the data currently displayed in the configured columns of the message list, but this is not straightforward. The easiest (for me) would probably be to let this kind of functionality reside in a so-called bundle command. This would also require some work though. It's not going to be a high priority and for now I'll be marking it “bluesky”.

Hmm, if I am the first one requesting this, then okay, I stay with taking snapshots of the window.

I need something like this too. I can neither print lists of email, nor copy a list of selected emails to paste into a text editor. I am currently preparing a PDF of about 100 emails for a lawyer, and I need a page listing what it contains. I am going to have to type the summary listing of what it contains — details of 100 emails — by hand. This is a major pain. I should be able to either print or copy it somehow.
