new message window over the main window

Reported by Thibaud | July 5th, 2011 @ 11:58 PM

Hello!

When I write a new message, I sometimes close the main window of MailMate. Then, it happens I need to retrieve an information in another application. To come back to my new message, I click on the dock icon of MailMate and ... I get the main window of MailMate.

Of course, I could use CMD+TAB instead of clicking, but I prefer this way and I think it could be more convenient to give a kind of priority to "special" windows (such as a new message window or a "simple" message window) over the main window of MailMate.

I have followed Apples style on this one and I probably won't change the
default behavior. It would frustrate many users if they needed to search
for the menu item to get back to the mailbox viewer window.

I guess it could be a (hidden) option though... Ok, next update includes
    the following hidden option:

    defaults write com.freron.MailMate MmShowAnyViewerOnDockIconClick -bool

    yes

    [state:resolved]
