Archiving inbox message in correspondence view archives responses, even if focus is not in the correspondence window

Hi there!
If I am in correspondence view, and I select a message in my inbox that I have responded to, the correspondence window will show both the message and my response selected. Then when I archive the message, both the message and its response are archived, even if the Inbox has focus (i.e., selected message is blue in the inbox). It seems to me that the Archive button should apply to whatever messages have focus; however, the behavior I see is that all selected messages are archived.
I notice also that this behavior only occurs with the archive button. If I select Message -> Move to Archive, only the message with focus is archived, as I would expect.
Something like this appears to have been reported in issue #400, but this strikes me as an outstanding bug.
