Alternate row colors

I have "Alternate row colours" selected in preferences but I don't see them.
Interestingly, if the window is not selected I can see them in the first 1/4 inch of the window but not the rest of the window.
What am I missing?

This option simply sets an option on the Apple provided GUI component used for message lists. It's not really implemented by MailMate itself. The alternating colors should be immediately visible when disabling/enabling this feature. Could you send me a screenshot of the 1/4 inch variant? (You can use “Help ▸ Send Feedback” and then I'll also get your OS and MailMate version.)
