Key binding to mark replied mail as read

Based on a reply on this accepted feature request I created ~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Resources/KeyBindings and in there created ReplyMarkRead.plist containing this:

  "@f" = ( 'setTag:', '\\Seen', 'forwardMessage:');
}

Then in Preferences/General, I checked "Enable" for "Custom Key Bindings" and entered ReplyMarkRead in the text box below. But Cmd-R still doesn't mark messages read. Any idea why the binding isn't working?

    Unfortunately it's not possible to override existing menu key bindings. Technically, it's likely very tricky to do this (although I cannot claim I've looked into the details). For now, you would have to use something else, e.g., simply r and f.

    The “bluesky” state means that I don't really oppose that it should be possible to override menu key bindings, but I don't have time to look into it in the foreseeable future.
