I'm afraid this is a MailMate bug. Try this: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane. Then wait a few minutes for MailMate to figure out that the account needs to be re-authenticated.

So now you are on r5300 in the About window?
You can try the following:
- Open the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0).
- Take the account offline and then online again (click on it under SOURCES in the mailbox outline and use the Mailboxes menu).
- Let it fail for a couple of minutes.
- Use “Help ▸ Send Server Logs”.
Then I can review the logs.
Thanks in advance.

Authentication appears to simply be failing:
14:47:32 C: D1 AUTHENTICATE XOAUTH2 •••••••••• 14:47:33 S: + eyJzdGF0dXMiOiI0MDAiLCJzY2hlbWVzIjoiQmVhcmVyIiwic2NvcGUiOiJodHRwczovL21haWwuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8ifQ== 14:47:33 C: 14:47:33 S: D1 NO [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Invalid credentials (Failure) 14:47:33 Error: Server response: “D1 NO [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Invalid credentials (Failure)”. Command attempted: “D1 AUTHENTICATE XOAUTH2 ••••••••••”. 14:47:33 Error: OAUTH2 error is {"status":"400","schemes":"Bearer","scope":"https://mail.google.com/"}
Did you verify that you have r5300 of MailMate?
Are you asked to authenticate the account (within a few minutes of it failing)?

I have 5263. When I check for updates it says I have the most current version. No I am not asked to authenticate

Ok, then you missed a detail in what I wrote above: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane.
The ⌥ key is also known as alt/option.

I tried when I hold down the alt key I cannot click on the check now button for some reason. Can I just download the new vision from the website and copy over the old app file?

That's very strange, but here you go: http://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/MailMate_r5300.tbz

That worked. Thank you. By the way I still can't update with I hold down the option key
