Why is Import Accounts Window empty?
Reported by Simon | October 27th, 2016 @ 04:03 AM
Hi,
I have just downloaded a trial version of the latest version of MailMate 1.9.5 (5263). I have 19 Gmail accounts and 2 iCloud accounts in Apple Mail, Version 10.1 (3251). I am running OS X Sierra 10.12.1. I would like to import these accounts into MailMate. I tried doing this by clicking on FILE, IMPORT ACCOUNTS... The Import Accounts window appears but the box on the left is empty. How can I get these accounts to show up so I can import them? I have attached a screenshot of the "Import Accounts" window for your perusal.
Thank you in advance!

Did you configure these accounts in Apple Mail before or after upgrading to Sierra?
If you did it before, have you launched Apple Mail after upgrading to Sierra?
(There is no official API to get the accounts in Apple Mail and it's not unlikely that I'm doing something wrong on Sierra if they changed how they store accounts.)

I installed Sierra as a fresh install, I did not do an upgrade.
As for configuring the accounts in Apple Mail, I did not need to do that either. When you log into an iCloud account on a new computer, it automatically adds your email accounts for you, which is very good.

Ok, but you have launched Apple Mail at least once?
If you know how to use a Terminal window, could you send me the result of this command:
ls ~/Library/Accounts/
