That does look very strange. Is the message atypical, for example, does
it have 2Fromheaders (use ⌥⌘U to see the raw headers). -

No, the message was fine. I also encountered it later with another message (different sender/subject)…

I think I know how to reproduce in Version 1.9.5 (5263)
- go to inbox (see my pane view) with multiple messages in
it
- go to first message, highlight it (click it once).
- click once in the message body
- resize the pane and see that the values in "From" column flash unexpectedly
- go to inbox (see my pane view) with multiple messages in
it

Thanks for the update. I still cannot reproduce it. Just to make sure it's not somehow related to the headers of an email, could you send me an example using “Help ▸ Send Feedback” (just drag the email into the composer window)?
Do you notice any pattern with respect to where the “wrong value” comes from. Is it an email from the same mailbox or maybe the previously selected mailbox?
