Inbox (mailmate) to inbox (gmail) not syncing

When I archive a file in Mailmate, it moved to the archive locally. However, it remains in the inbox on Gmail, though with the "unread" flag removed.
Any ideas how to bring them in sync?

It sounds like the account might not be fully synchronized. MailMate does the server->client synchronization before doing any client->synchronization (which would include archiving an email). Do you have any persistent spinners in the account? (In the list of mailboxes.)
