HTML bleeding into signature when replying. (V2.0beta build 6024)
Reported by Olaf | June 3rd, 2016 @ 10:27 AM
I have a signature with that includes an HTML variant that looks like:
<hr>
<table border="0" style="width:100%;">
<tr>
<td>Mr. Bert<br/>
Secret Working Group Secretary</br>
<A HREF="http://bert.secret-wg.org/">bert.Secret-Wg.org</A><br/>
<td>
<td style="text-align:right">
e-mail: <A HREF="mailto:bert@localhost">bert@localhost</A><br/>
<Font Size=-4>
LinkedIn:<A HREF="https://nl.linkedin.com/in/secretwg">Bert</A><br>Twitter: <A href="https://twitter.com/secretwg">@SecretWG</A>
</Font>
</td>
</tr>
<table>
<hr>
While the plaintext variety of that is
---
Bert bert@localhost
Secretary
Secret Working Group bert.secret-wg.org
LinkedIn: secreting
Twitter: secretwg
---
When I reply to messages it seems that the block that is recognized as HTML in the original quoted message bleads into the signature block, which corrupts the plaintext version whenever I start replying in-line.
PS: It seems that the rendering of the plaintext blob in this ticket fails. The hline at the bottom are 3 dashes in reality

I would probably need the original email in order to reproduce this (the one you reply to).
(There are some known issues with the embedding of HTML signatures. I don't think it'll fix the issue you describe here though...)
