Show/hide mailboxes setting should be remembered for new viewer windows

Reported by larrycz | June 1st, 2011 @ 09:35 PM

Example:
1. Hide mailboxes in my main viewer window
2. Close my main viewer window
3. Click on MailMate icon in the dock - viewer window appears, mailboxes hidden (as expected)
4. Open an additional viewer window - mailboxes are visible again

Ok, I can make the default state be based on the existing (front-most) viewer window.

Also related to this the visibility of the mailboxes pane is not preserved on application restart (e.g. when MailMate quit and is started again mailboxes will appear even if they were previously hidden).

The same when switching Distortion Mode on and off.

I also get this when switching layouts--always the mailbox view! I almost never want the mailbox pane open, so I would very much appreciate this feature as well. In the meantime, is there a hidden preference or change to the layout.plist that would change the default?
