Reply to a message window in the same window (option)

I would prefer if reply was composed in a message window reused the same window rather than opening a new one. This is standard behaviour in Outlook or Apple Mail.
This does not affect a message viewer window, where you always expect a new window of course.
Alternatively this could be a configurable option, but better to keep the number of options to minimum.

The usual problem is a leftover message window after a reply has been sent. This window must be closed manually.

The same window dimensions don’t necessarily work for both tasks (reading and composing). Especially with the Markdown preview pane enabled.
I think if replying would just close the window of the message being replied to, we’d all be happy.
