crashes when attempting to send any message

#1401

Purchased and installed a few days ago. Seemed to be working fine until today. When I attempt to send mail or forward mail, MailMate crashes. Installed SpamSieve most recently but not sure if that would be related. Tried sending from multiple accounts with same results.. Crash Report attached.

Sorry to hear that. This is not a known issue. It seems like it might be related to account settings. Does that ring a bell (any recent changes)?

First try updating to the latest beta of MailMate to make sure it's not a fixed issue (it might have been fixed implicitly): See the Software Update preferences pane in MailMate. If you have other means to send email then I'd like to see the following files:

    /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Sources.plist
    /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Submission.plist
    /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Identities.plist

There is a direct email address here: http://freron.com/contact

Note that the Library folder is hidden.

I don't think SpamSieve is related.

    Thanks for the support!

Thanks for the files. I turns the issue is related to a bug in the public release of MailMate which can generate badly formed account settings on El Capitan when importing from Apple Mail.

    Try the latest test release.

If this stops the crash then go through all of your accounts (File ▸ Edit IMAP Account) and make sure the SMTP settings are fixed/added.

Sorry about the inconvenience of this bug.

Let me know if it's not resolved.
