I have another error that prevents me from sending mail. HELP!

Hmm, that looks strange, but I think I know what's wrong. Check your IMAP/SMTP account settings (“File ▸Edit IMAP Account ▸ ...”. I think you have specified an IMAP port for SMTP. For a Gmail account IMAP should use port 993. For SMTP, it should be 587.
