Folder sorting oddities after 5180 update
Reported by Chris O | November 19th, 2015 @ 03:35 PM
I downloaded and installed the 5180 update this morning, and after relaunch noticed that my folders weren't quite in alphabetical order anymore.
If I go into IMAP Account Settings, and then click the Edit Subscriptions button, I can see the folders listed in the order I would expect. The main Viewer Window, however, is off.
Sorry for the chopped screencap, somewhat necessary.

This is a known issue which I kind of forgot to fix for the beta release. It was an unintended side effect of making IMAP accounts reorderable. Interestingly, most of the mailboxes in my accounts are still sorted. (It might currently depend on the IMAP server, but I'm not sure.)

I fixed this issue and added that IMAP mailboxes are now also reorderable. By default they are sorted alphabetically, but if drag-sorted then this switches to “manual” for the current mailbox. (Some day there'll be a GUI setting to reflect and explicitly set this.)
Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane to try this out. The changes do have potential to change/break other order-related behavior.
