Make message sticky

Reported by Peter Cuttance | October 15th, 2015 @ 11:30 PM

I use a strategy of sending myself email messages as reminders of important tasks — each message includes specific characters in the subject line (e.g.. ###). I then set up a rule to colour the message when it is received, so it stands out in the list of messages in my inbox.

I could use flags, but that would mean I have to access another (smart) mailbox to see it — I'm no good at monitoring my 'to do' lists — I work best by seeing reminders of what I have to do — so I need to see the important messages every time I look at my InBox.

The problem is that my important messages move down the screen as mail is received.

I would love to have an option to make a message 'stick' at the top of the list of messages in my InBox (or at another designated place, such as after all messages received 'today', or 'after all messages that are 3 days old') — somewhat like messages can be made to stick at the top of a Bulletin Board.
