Duplicate messages from IMAP account, Office 365 server
Reported by Evan Elder | October 8th, 2015 @ 04:10 PM
I'm seeing duplicate copies of messages on one of my accounts. Its an Office 365 server (which I know there are issues with) that's setup via IMAP. Is this a known issue?

I am having the exact same issue here for my Office 365 account that is set up via IMAP. Whenever I move messages to another folder, a copy of the message gets added to the same folder. If I move the message back to the inbox, I get a duplicate there too.
I am on r5144 (OS X 10.10.5).

Thanks for the report. You can create a set of logs for me like this:
- Open the “Activity Viewer” (⌥⌘0).
- Trigger the issue.
- Use “Help ▸ Send Server Logs”.
Thanks in advance.

I've found the problem. Exchange supports the
UID MOVE
command which I recently started to support. Unfortunately the reply from the server is wrongly formatted. This makes it less efficient, but it also triggers MailMate to think that the move failed (this is a MailMate bug). I'll look into both making MailMate not fail and being able to handle the wrongly formatted response from the server. Probably tomorrow. -

Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane and let let me know how it goes.
