message text wrapping

When I compose emails in markdown MailMate it wraps my message
by ~40 characters, and I cannot find place where can I disable this
wrapping (or make it a bit wider - say 72 characters?)
Please advise.

The composer is intended for fixed width fonts. You might see weird word wrapping when using a proportional font, but it won't affect the email that you actually send (and no explicit font is hardcoded into the email -- it'll depend on the recipient's preference).
In other words, MailMate does not (and should not) hard wrap what you send.
Let me know if that does not explain what you see.
