Default Signature Placement bottom does not work
Reported by Marcus Stoegbauer | June 22nd, 2015 @ 07:42 AM
Hi,
I have set "Default signature placement" to "Bottom" in preferences, but whenever I reply to a mail my signature is appearing before the quoted mail body. When I click on Signature in the composer the tick is set at Placement Top, if i manually change that to Bottom the signature will appear at the bottom of the mail as expected. It seems the default placement isn't honoured here. This is Version 1.9.1 (5084).
If you need more information please let me know, I'm happy to provide what's needed.
Kind regards,
Marcus

Note that MailMate has a dynamic signature system. It appears that MailMate has learned (for some recipients) that you prefer bottom placement of your signature. This persists even if change the default. Try clicking “Reset Usage History” in the Signatures preferences pane and then try again.

Oh, I wasn't aware of the dynamic nature of the placement. Thanks for pointing that out, resetting the usage history did work indeed, the signature appears at the bottom for all recipients I tried so far.
