Wrong event date in BusyCal

Hello!
I am new to MailMate, and I like it very much.
When I try to create a new event in BusyCal via the Command Menu, nearly always a daily event is created.
When selecting an email from today, an noraml event at 4th of October at 12:00 was created.
What are the rules here?
