Can't Get Started

I have Comcast and Gmail. I'm trying to load my primary email which is Comcast. I've just downloaded your product and can't get it to work/sync with Comcast. Can you explain what I should be filling out in each field? It keeps saying my password will not sync but it is the correct password. Perhaps I'm putting in the wrong name or something.

    This is a duplicate of an email sent to the feedback email address, but I reply here as well in order to give an answer to anyone finding this ticket.

    Comcast only supports POP3 and MailMate is IMAP only. A workaround is to use the Gmail account to fetch messages from Comcast (see “Accounts and Import” under Gmail settings in the web interface). This can be used to place the message in a dedicated IMAP mailbox.

    MailMate is not expected to ever support POP3. If this changes it will most likely work similar to Gmail, that is, it is required that the messages are imported into an IMAP mailbox.
