Timeout error on folder

On one of my sub-folders, I'm seeing a time-out error occasionally, with MailMate popping up an error dialog (screenshot available). The folder has about 28,000 messages, which I assume is the cause. I haven't seen such a message when using Apple Mail previously, so is this a MailMate issue, or IMAP-related?

It sounds like some command to this mailbox is very slow (server side) which makes it IMAP related. MailMate tries to adapts its timeout values, but apparently this fails in this case. (You cannot just have a huge timeout value since then you'll never notice broken connections.)
If you can provide logs then I can analyze it in more detail. Open the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0) to enable logging and then look for the output related to the error when it happens or just use “Help ▸ Send Server Logs” to send all of it to me.
