Small feature request - New Viewer in the Dock Menu

This is I believe a small feature but would be very beneficial.

I use spaces a lot when I'm working. I invariably wind up on another workspace screen and need to access email. I think have to go back to the space with MailMate, create a new viewer window, and move it to the space I'm working in.

Would it be possible to add another menu item on the Dock icon for a New Viewer Window? There is already an item for New Message which is great. This would be on par with Outlook and Mail.app (both of which have the menu item).
