MIssing attachments
Reported by Richard Ross | April 10th, 2011 @ 02:40 AM
For some reason, some emails that have attachments the attachments do not show up. Therefore, I have to open Apple Mail in order to download the attachment.

Thanks for the report. Sorry for the late response. (I won't have frequent access to the internet until next Tuesday.)
Could you send an example message by private (feedback-link in the MailMate help menu) email if it does not contain sensitive information? I'll delete it after analyzing the problem.

It is likely that this issue is related to other reports regarding messages with calendar items. There exists software which creates messages where a calendar item (
text/calendar
) is placed in amultipart/alternative
body part. This is wrong and MailMate behaves correctly, but since the buggy software (and the messages created by it) is widespread then a workaround has now been made. It simply displays the calendar item as an attachment even though it really isn't.This fix will be part of the next release of MailMate.
