Message Attachment

Is there any way to make mailmate not send the original message as an attachment. Recipients absolutely think this is ridiculous and inconvenient and they are right. As it is now, I'm clicking reply on every email, even if I want to forward it so I can get the message inline.

I never want to send the original message as an attachment, is there way to make that happen?

    No, when MailMate sets the forwarded message as an attachment then it's because it has given up trying to inline the forwarded message. If reply works for you then I guess MailMate gives up a bit to easily, but the proper fix for this is that I improve how forwarding of HTML messages is handled. In theory, that should make it work as well as it does in an HTML email client while MailMate itself still being a plain text email client.

    Although this is a (very) high priority item I cannot give you a time frame. I simply have no idea how many issues I have to deal with given that HTML in emails is a severely broken concept for anything but no-reply messages like newsletters.

    I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you at this time, but I'm well aware of this being an important issue for some of my users.

    I'll update this ticket if there is any progress on the issue and you should then be notified by email.

    Better late than never. MailMate now has the ability to embed arbitrary HTML which should resolve issues like this. See more here.
