Date specific rules for SmartFolders

Reported by Alexander Kucera | April 5th, 2011 @ 06:29 PM

Hi Benny,

I wanted to create a SmartFolder that shows me mails no older then a certain age, say two weeks, but the rules don't allow for that as far as I am able to tell. Could you please add a functionality similar to iTunes or Mail.app rules? ("Is today", "Is not in the last day/week/month", "Is between", "Is after/before the date", etc.)

I'm guessing you didn't try selecting “Date” or “Date ▸ No
Specifier” (same thing). That'll show you an alternative set of
comparison methods. It is a tricky GUI design problem to make this more
    obvious.

Or do you miss a date comparison method among these options?

Hmm, I tried that before and it only gave me the default rules (is, is not, contains, etc.). I tried it just now and now it works. Guess it was a fluke. Sorry about that.

Well, guess now I don't have to wait for a fix, do I? :)

    • State changed from “new” to “resolved”

Let me know if it happens again and you are able to reproduce it.

    Fastest fix ever ;-)

    [state:resolved]
