Attaching Keynote presentation fails

I attempted to attach a Keynote presentation (2.4 MB) to a new email. After I hit OK on the filename, there was a MailMate dialogue at the top of the new mail window that displayed and disappeared without me being able to read it. The file wasn’t attached to the message.
I copied it from iCloud Drive to my local Documents folder in case that was a factor, but experienced the same result from there.
I checked the Console log, but didn’t see anything of note other than this:
08/02/2015 15:07:32.152 MailMate[227]: can't get sender: Error Domain=BRCloudDocsErrorDomain Code=16 "The operation couldn’t be completed. (BRCloudDocsErrorDomain error 16 - Sync is restricted for this client)" UserInfo=0x7f8e8bea4030 {NSDescription=Sync is restricted for this client}
I saw nothing in the log when attempting to attach from the Documents folder.
