Feature request: address completion sorted by most recently or frequently used first

I send mail to many company email lists, which name only differ
by their suffix. As a result, the completion is pretty useless for
the ones I send most of my mails to, which happen to be at the
bottom of the list. It would be a huge usability improvement if
they were sorted by MRU first.

To be maybe a bit clearer: the top 10 or 20 results in the completion are addresses that I only ever sent to once or twice, so really useless. I have to type more than 8 characters to disambiguate enough and see the ones I need appear at the bottom of the list.
Additionally, it would be nice to have substring matching, instead of matching anchored at the beginning of either the email address or the name. Highlighting the matched substring would be a really nice addition.
