How to disable an IMAP account without removing?

Reported by matrixise | July 11th, 2014 @ 03:27 PM

Hi Benny,

I don't want to drop my IMAP account, but just disable it.

Is it possible? if not, this feature is in your roadmap?

Thanks,

Stephane

No, this is not currently possible. I do have various requests for disabling/hiding/focusing accounts (and various “do not disturb” kind of features), but I don't yet have any explicit plans with regard to implementation. I'll mark the ticket as accepted, but it's probably close to bluesky since I don't expect to implement this soon.

Just to understand you correctly, what would be your purpose for disabling an account?

This feature is still missing, right? I would be happy to have a disable or hide from joint inbox setting (per imap account). Why? I follow a GTD workflow (i.e. mails become todo items and the inbox shall be zero at the end of the day) but I need to access other (joint) accounts which do it differently.
