Recent Problem with Google Account Slowdown / Going Offline
Reported by David Simpson | March 19th, 2014 @ 10:30 PM
I've been having an increasingly more common problem with one of my Gmail (Google Apps) accounts in the last 3 weeks or so. All three email accounts running in MailMate are hosted by Google Apps, but one account in particular has a recent tendency to show up as a GREY color in the accounts list with the word (Failed) next to it. Sometimes, if I then take the account offline and back online again, it will start working again, for a time (an hour, maybe?)
The IMAP Google account is setup using what I believe to be standards for Google:
imap.gmail.com default port SSL on
smtp.gmail.com default port SSL on
It's setup using precisely the same configuration pattern as the other 2 "always functional" accounts, so I'm wondering, is there something becoming corrupted? Way to make MailMate to be as fast and reliable as it used to be?

Could you see if you think it's the same problem as described in ticket #651?
I'm beginning to think Google changed something which triggers a bug in MailMate. The last couple of weeks I've gotten several questions similar to this.
