HTML email garbled when using "Forward as Attachment" and S/MIME signature
Reported by Matt Gray | March 14th, 2014 @ 01:58 PM
Steps
- Given that I have a valid S/MIME certificate for signing and encryption
- Find an HTML email (e.g. typical marketing email with embedded images)
- Select Message > Forward as Attachment
- Ensure that signing is selected and encryption is not selected
- Send the message to yourself
- View the message
- The message's partial headers are shown and no To/From markup is shown, see screenshot
- Select the original HTML email from step 2
- Select Message > Forward as Attachment
- Select any other combination of signing and encryption
- Send the message to yourself
- View the message
- The message is forwarded properly.

Thanks for the report!
I was unable to reproduce it (only one attempt though) and it might depend on the HTML email used. Could you send me an example? (Help ▸ Send Feedback).

Thanks for the example. This issue has been fixed. (It affected both OpenPGP and S/MIME signed messages with attached emails.)

Thanks! I'm unfortunately not that fast on all issues (as can be quickly verified on this ticket system).
